There are 2 Nature Reserves located in Milnerton. These are owned by the City of Cape Town. The Rietvlei Wetland Reserve, including the Lagoon, is situated between Ridge, Table View, Dolphin Beach, Sunset Beach, and Woodbridge Island. The Milnerton Racecourse Nature Reserve is situated inside the race tracks of the old Milnerton Racecourse.
Splendid views of Table Mountain can be seen from the Milnerton Beaches and is a popular spot for walkers, cyclists and surfers. The surf varies from small to large barrels, with the best surf occurring with the gust of the south-easter. The beach is a favourite for watersports such as surf ski race and surfing.
